Many holiday cottages to discover!

There's a good reason that cottage holidays are on the rise - they're simply the most fun and best value holidays in the UK. We work with many partners to provide the widest selection of self-catering accommodation we can find, and we hope this makes your search much more easy.

Cottage owners expect you to leave the property in the same condition as you found it - clean and tidy - and will almost always provide cleaning materials for you. Dog owners favour cottage holidays because many properties will not just allow pets but provide a few basic supplies. We have many of the best rental holiday cottages in YO1 for a family or group of friends - for cottage breaks in YO1

YO1 Accomodation

Benefits of staying in a county cottage include being able to jump out of the front door and take part in outdoor pursuits from walking to horse riding, and from fishing to paddling. Trusting the sun to shine every day is rather optimistic in YO1 regardless of the time of year.

When the weather takes a turn for the worse its a great time to stay indoors and play some classic family games. Many cottages now have DVD players so maybe its worth taking a few a classic movies with you.

Or just ignore the rain and get on with whatever you had initially planned and be determined that a little water will not spoil the day.

Holiday Cottages

We deal with some of the best cottage agencies in the country so we're confident that they will resolve any small issues you may encounter. Nearly all country cottages have free parking near the property, but you may find the urban cottages to have more parking restrictions.

We've often found the properties have a list of nearby places to grab a bite or a beer - and if the owners are nearby they may filter down the recommendations based on your needs. YO1 cottages range in size and price, but based on our knowledge of the cottage agencies and owners, all should be good quality.

Some properties will ask for a security deposit before your arrival date - although this is required in a minority of accommodation and you will be advised at time of booking.

Families, Friends and More

There are few better ways to spend a holiday together as a family than in a holiday cottage where everyone truly is in one place, not dotted around a hotel. Young children can make your stay even more fun, and we have a few suggestions of things to bring.

If your kids ideal break is to be locked in their room with a video games machine, then prepare the outside adventure with bikes, kites and other stuff to get them out having fun. If the children are really young, don't forget to take nappies and / or a potty as you may find it harder to buy these at your destination.

You'll need to think about a few of their favourite books and games to help them feel at home in the cottage and settle in for a good nights sleep.
