Many holiday cottages to discover!
Whenever you're travelling to Wittersham , there are a few things you should always take with you. Rainproof clothing and a light umbrella should be the first things to pack. The rain only comes when you are not prepared.
If you have a DVD player in the cottage, definitely take a few great movies. It's so enjoyable to curl up in the evening and watch a classic film. There are obviously local stores that can supply you with all the food you need, but we always like to arrive with coffee, tea bags, a pint of milk, a bar of chocolate and some bread and butter for the toaster - it's good to get the energy up after a long journey. Many people have favourite places they return to again and again, whereas we like to find new places to stay.
Wittersham Accomodation
Benefits of staying in a county cottage include being able to jump out of the front door and take part in outdoor pursuits from walking to horse riding, and from fishing to paddling. As we all know, the weather isn't always idyllic - in fact it can be largely unpredictable.
If the rainclouds arrive it may be a good idea to stay inside and get out a pack of cards or an old fashioned board game. Cottage owners sometimes leave a few distractions around the property, such as local magazines or guidebooks.
Wer're sure you'll come up with a great plan, but it might help to have one in advance. Just in case!

Holiday Cottages
When you're searching for the best cottage for your stay, make sure that you've thought through the bedroom needs and allocation. If you have young kids in the party you may want to think twice about open fires, and of course some of the oldest cottages may have lower ceilings than those you are used to.
If you have a dog, you may like to bring him or her to Wittersham
with you. If the description of the Wittersham
cottage does not indicate that its pet friendly, please contact the owner before confirming the booking.
Wherever you stay, whether it's in Wittersham
or elsewhere, we hope you have a fabulous holiday!
Families, Friends and More
Self-catering always makes your holiday more relaxing in Wittersham
. It's so much more relaxing when you can eat when it suits you - cooking exactly when you want (and whatever you want).
Eat what you want, whenever you want it. And of course that's particularly good if anyone in your party suffers from food allergies or has other dietary requirements. For many people the idea of a Wittersham
cottage holiday allows them to relax, take long rambling walks and stop off at a country pub for a pint and a ploughman's lunch.
There's also a growing number of holidaymakers who just want to get really energetic and try new things, including abseiling, rafting, climbing and even potholing.
