The vast majority of our self-catering properties are cottages in rural towns and villages, but we do have some city based properties, many of which are apartments. Large or small cottage, holiday makers have the freedom to eat in, eat out, stay in bed all day and generally come and go as they please - unlike a bed and breakfast. We know many of our visitors like to take their dogs with them and many cottages now allow this. We often have late availability offers on holiday cottages for family or group bookings but you'll obviously get a restricted choice.
Besides the facilities within the Fontwell cottages, our guests have been known to talk long walks, go horse riding and even more adventurous activities such as climbing. Great weather can never be guaranteed for every day, and there's obviously a chance of a downpour. If you find yourself trapped by the rain in Fontwell you should pull out a board game, a good book or perhaps a game of charades! Some cottages will provide a few books and magazines but you aren't likely to get the latest blockbuster or this month's Vogue. Or just ignore the rain and get on with whatever you had initially planned and be determined that a little water will not spoil the day.

As a reminder, we do not actually take the cottage bookings, we simply connect your with the agencies or owners. Nearly all country cottages have free parking near the property, but you may find the urban cottages to have more parking restrictions. We've often found the properties have a list of nearby places to grab a bite or a beer - and if the owners are nearby they may filter down the recommendations based on your needs. West Sussex and Fontwell are great locations for a cottage holiday due to their proximity to local facilities and amenities. A few properties have access to outdoor swimming pools, but please remember that these are often only accessible during the summer months, and that you are responsible for you own safety!
