Many holiday cottages to discover!

There's a good reason that cottage holidays are on the rise - they're simply the most fun and best value holidays in the UK. The vast majority of our self-catering properties are cottages in rural towns and villages, but we do have some city based properties, many of which are apartments.

Large or small cottage, holiday makers have the freedom to eat in, eat out, stay in bed all day and generally come and go as they please - unlike a bed and breakfast. A larger number of cottages will accept pets (and for pets, read 'dogs') but you must check first. We can help if you're looking for a holiday cottage or other accommodation in Wedmore to stay in with your family for a week or two or somewhere in Wedmore to stay with friends over a long weekend.

Wedmore Accomodation

In Wedmore , high season tends to match the summer school holidays, with mid-season a month either side. July and August are usually school summer holidays.

Half term dates are different for different schools, but normally summer half-term is around the first two weeks of June. It's recommended to make an early booking to ensure your date, especially during high season, but it's not impossible to find a last minute opportunity.

Some of the best cottages in the UK are fiercely independent and have incredibly high standards, and more recently the rise of agencies has helped increase standards right across the board.

Holiday Cottages

When you're searching for the best cottage for your stay, make sure that you've thought through the bedroom needs and allocation. If you're travelling to Wedmore in a group of single people, are there enough beds in the bedrooms?

If you have a dog, you may like to bring him or her to Wedmore with you. We always suggest that you check with the owner if there are no pet details listed. And even if there are, it can be a good idea to let them know so they can put out a bowl of water for your dog's arrival.

Have a great holiday, wherever you stay. Hopefully it will be in a cottage found through us!

Families, Friends and More

There are many benefits to a self-catering holiday in Wedmore . No pressure from the owner to eat meals at specific times, when you are self-catering the food is ready when you want it to be ready.

And if you have specific dietary needs, whether that's something relatively common like vegetarianism or a more unusual food allergy, cooking your own food allows you peace of mind. Waking up without the alarm, cooking a nice hearty breakfast, perhaps sitting by the river for a spot of fishing or just reading a book.

For many, however, its a chance to really do something active, from running and mountain biking to swimming and climbing.
