Cottages for families and friends in and around Walsall

Many holiday cottages to discover!

Cottage holidays are becoming more and more synonymous with the Great British Break, which is why we have created this site. The vast majority of our self-catering properties are cottages in rural towns and villages, but we do have some city based properties, many of which are apartments.

Staying in a Walsall holiday cottage can be a perfect way to take a break as you can forget about household chores and focus on having fun, or a relaxing break. We know many of our visitors like to take their dogs with them and many cottages now allow this. We can help if you're looking for a holiday cottage or other accommodation in Walsall to stay in with your family for a week or two or somewhere in Walsall to stay with friends over a long weekend.

Walsall Accomodation

In Walsall, high season tends to match the summer school holidays, with mid-season a month either side. Mid-July til the end of August are the core weeks for the Walsall school summer holidays.

Summer half-term usually appears in the first couple of weeks in June, although different types of schools have different dates. It's recommended to make an early booking to ensure your date, especially during high season, but it's not impossible to find a last minute opportunity.

Cottage agencies are growing in size as a greater number of independents sign up with them. As a consumer this has a positive impact - in theory the facilities and standards are kept to a pre-agreed level.

Holiday Cottages

Whether you're going away with friends or family to Walsall, you'll want to consider the type of accommodation you book. If you have young kids in the party you may want to think twice about open fires, and of course some of the oldest cottages may have lower ceilings than those you are used to.

Dogs need holidays too, so it can be fun to bring your favourite pooch to the Walsall cottage. If the description of the Walsall cottage does not indicate that its pet friendly, please contact the owner before confirming the booking.

We want you to have a great West Midlands holiday so we wish you the best of luck finding your perfect accomodation.

Families, Friends and More

We think that self-catering is the best way to holiday in Walsall. You take away some of the pressure that appears when staying in a hotel or b and b - you must eat your meals at this time, you must order from this menu.

You can decide what food and drink you want to consume, and you can choose when to sit down and eat it... or even stand up and eat it! We know many people who consider a holiday cottage as the perfect way to wind down after a busy urban lifestyle - sleep in, take lazy walks through the countryside and take more time over meals.

But you may want to get out and burn some energy on bikes, climb a hill or mountain, or even try canoeing. Whatever you choose, please take the right clothing and equipment with you.
