Valsgarth Cottages
Cottages for families and friends in and around Valsgarth

Many holiday cottages to discover!

If you want to have the best cottage holiday possible in Valsgarth , we suggest a few key items to take along. Rainproof clothing and a light umbrella should be the first things to pack. The rain only comes when you are not prepared.

If you have a DVD player in the cottage, definitely take a few great movies. It's so enjoyable to curl up in the evening and watch a classic film. There are obviously local stores that can supply you with all the food you need, but we always like to arrive with coffee, tea bags, a pint of milk, a bar of chocolate and some bread and butter for the toaster - it's good to get the energy up after a long journey. Many people have favourite places they return to again and again, whereas we like to find new places to stay.

Valsgarth Accomodation

Besides the facilities within the Valsgarth cottages, our guests have been known to talk long walks, go horse riding and even more adventurous activities such as climbing. Trusting the sun to shine every day is rather optimistic in Valsgarth regardless of the time of year.

If the rainclouds arrive it may be a good idea to stay inside and get out a pack of cards or an old fashioned board game. If there's a TV in the property then you can sit around a watch re-runs of quiz shows, comedies and whatever else is on.

Or you can just embrace the weather and get out there in a raincoat, splash about, and pretend that you really are still young.

Holiday Cottages

Before you book that 16th Century thatched roof cottage with low ceilings, you may want to ask the tallest people in your group/family whether the olde worlds charm outweighs the pain of bumping heads on beams. Do you need twin beds or double beds, can the kids share a room, will your friends all want separate bedrooms?

Most dog owners like to take their four legged friends away with them on trips to Valsgarth . We always suggest that you check with the owner if there are no pet details listed. And even if there are, it can be a good idea to let them know so they can put out a bowl of water for your dog's arrival.

Wherever you stay, whether it's in Valsgarth or elsewhere, we hope you have a fabulous holiday!

Families, Friends and More

Self-catering is an ideal way to holiday in Valsgarth . It's so much more relaxing when you can eat when it suits you - cooking exactly when you want (and whatever you want).

And it also gives the freedom of eating out without needing to reorganise any plans in your accomodation. You don't need to tell anyone, just sit down and order! A large number of our visitors like to use their stay as an opportunity to just put their feet up, gaze at the scenery, take an afternoon nap, and enjoy a nice home cooked meal. Just taking it easy in Valsgarth .

There's also a growing number of holidaymakers who just want to get really energetic and try new things, including abseiling, rafting, climbing and even potholing.
