Large or small cottage, holiday makers have the freedom to eat in, eat out, stay in bed all day and generally come and go as they please - unlike a bed and breakfast. Dog owners favour cottage holidays because many properties will not just allow pets but provide a few basic supplies. We often have late availability offers on holiday cottages for family or group bookings but you'll obviously get a restricted choice.

Turvey Accomodation

Throughout the Bedfordshire area rates will vary quite a bit throughout the year - clearly the winter is the cheapest time. School holidays tend to be mid-July to the end of August.

If you want to avoid half-term in the summer, draw a line through the first two weeks of June. Although we really encourage you too book your cottage early, there are opportunities for last minute bookings, so it can be worth checking.

Some of the best cottages in the UK are fiercely independent and have incredibly high standards, and more recently the rise of agencies has helped increase standards right across the board.

As a reminder, we do not actually take the cottage bookings, we simply connect your with the agencies or owners. Some of the best cottages in Turvey are really excellent and so we encourage you to make your reservation as soon as possible to avoid availability disappointment.

The cottage owners may leave some hints for good places to visit nearby and on occasion we've even found that they'll suggest a specific pub or restaurant where you can get a discount. Turvey Bedfordshire cottages in are not just good value, but also offer the benefits of home comforts versus a hotel.

A few properties have access to outdoor swimming pools, but please remember that these are often only accessible during the summer months, and that you are responsible for you own safety!

Families, Friends and More

The best part of going on holiday with a family is the sense of comfort you all get when walking into a Turvey holiday cottage - where everything there is designed to make your stay better! When you're travelling as a family with young kids there are several things we recommend you take with you.

Whether there's a swimming pool attached to the property, or in the nearby leisure centre, swimming trunks and swimming costumes are easy to forget. A long car journey can turn the most engaged children into bored zombies, so take some snacks and have a few games ready to play.

Clothes for the full range of weather; just because you don't think that it looks good outside in the rain it doesn't mean that the little ones will agree.
