Many holiday cottages to discover!

To make the best of your trip in Thriplow, we recommend you bring some essential items. Preparing for a little rain is always a good plan. An umbrella and an anorak or rain coat can get everyone smiling even on the worse days.

If your family and friends are anything like ours, you should have a good book ready to fill those times when everyone's getting ready, or waiting for them to come back from a long walk. There are obviously local stores that can supply you with all the food you need, but we always like to arrive with coffee, tea bags, a pint of milk, a bar of chocolate and some bread and butter for the toaster - it's good to get the energy up after a long journey. We find it really hard to decide which type of cottage we like best. Generally we just enjoy going away!

Children love to get out of the cottage (not because the cottages aren't great, but because its fun to play outside!) and this is a great benefit of staying in a country cottage. You can never truly rely on the weather in Thriplow Cambridgeshire or frankly anywhere in the UK.

If you find yourself trapped by the rain in Thriplow you should pull out a board game, a good book or perhaps a game of charades! Cottage owners sometimes leave a few distractions around the property, such as local magazines or guidebooks.

Whatever you decide, we're sure it will be a memorable part of your cottage holiday in Thriplow.

Families, Friends and More

Self-catering is an ideal way to holiday in Thriplow. It's so much more relaxing when you can eat when it suits you - cooking exactly when you want (and whatever you want).

And if you have specific dietary needs, whether that's something relatively common like vegetarianism or a more unusual food allergy, cooking your own food allows you peace of mind. Waking up without the alarm, cooking a nice hearty breakfast, perhaps sitting by the river for a spot of fishing or just reading a book.

On the other hand, there's a growing proportion of visitors who use their time away from home to get fitter and try new things - such as mountain biking, horse riding or canoeing.
