The Sound Of Mull Cottages
Cottages for families and friends in and around The Sound Of Mull

Many holiday cottages to discover!

Whatever time you go to The Sound Of Mull, we'd like to suggest some things to take to improve your stay. Preparing for a little rain is always a good plan. An umbrella and an anorak or rain coat can get everyone smiling even on the worse days.

If your family and friends are anything like ours, you should have a good book ready to fill those times when everyone's getting ready, or waiting for them to come back from a long walk. Finally you should take a few initial supplies, such as tea, coffee, milk, bread and some cheese. Of course you can usually buy them locally but it's easy to forget and there's nothing better than a cup of tea before you start unpacking. We find it really hard to decide which type of cottage we like best. Generally we just enjoy going away!

The Sound Of Mull Accomodation

Besides the facilities within the The Sound Of Mull cottages, our guests have been known to talk long walks, go horse riding and even more adventurous activities such as climbing. Trusting the sun to shine every day is rather optimistic in The Sound Of Mull regardless of the time of year.

When the weather takes a turn for the worse its a great time to stay indoors and play some classic family games. If there's a TV in the property then you can sit around a watch re-runs of quiz shows, comedies and whatever else is on.

Or just ignore the rain and get on with whatever you had initially planned and be determined that a little water will not spoil the day.

Holiday Cottages

Before you book that 16th Century thatched roof cottage with low ceilings, you may want to ask the tallest people in your group/family whether the olde worlds charm outweighs the pain of bumping heads on beams. If you're travelling to The Sound Of Mull in a group of single people, are there enough beds in the bedrooms?

Dog owners often like to spend their holidays in the UK so that they can take their four legged friends with them. We always suggest that you check with the owner if there are no pet details listed. And even if there are, it can be a good idea to let them know so they can put out a bowl of water for your dog's arrival.

Wherever you stay, whether it's in The Sound Of Mull or elsewhere, we hope you have a fabulous holiday!

Families, Friends and More

Families love cottage holidays because they can run to their own schedule, managing everyone's unique needs in the privacy of a comfortable home. Young children can make your stay even more fun, and we have a few suggestions of things to bring.

If your kids ideal break is to be locked in their room with a video games machine, then prepare the outside adventure with bikes, kites and other stuff to get them out having fun. Check whether the cottage can supply cots or high chairs if you need them - you may be surprised how common this is in The Sound Of Mull.

And last, but not least, make sure you take your camera to capture the magic of a great fun family holiday before the kids grow up and start their own families!
