We love cottage holidays and Suffolk has some really great destinations and properties to rent, for families or groups of friends. We work with many partners to provide the widest selection of self-catering accommodation we can find, and we hope this makes your search much more easy. Your chosen cottage should be clean and tidy on arrival, and if it is not you should inform the owner or agency immediately so that they can sort it out swiftly. Always check with the Kersey cottage owner before you take pets - although many are pet friendly. We can help if you're looking for a holiday cottage or other accommodation in Kersey to stay in with your family for a week or two or somewhere in Kersey to stay with friends over a long weekend.

Children love to get out of the cottage (not because the cottages aren't great, but because its fun to play outside!) and this is a great benefit of staying in a country cottage. Banking on continual excellent weather, however, can be a little short-sighted in Suffolk. If you find yourself trapped by the rain in Kersey you should pull out a board game, a good book or perhaps a game of charades! Some cottages will provide a few books and magazines but you aren't likely to get the latest blockbuster or this month's Vogue. Or you can just embrace the weather and get out there in a raincoat, splash about, and pretend that you really are still young.
All the agents we work with have good customer service teams, so please contact them if you have additional questions or problems. Some of the best cottages in Kersey are really excellent and so we encourage you to make your reservation as soon as possible to avoid availability disappointment. Many owners, if they are local, will be pleased to give you tips on the best pubs and restaurants around, so make sure you ask and take advantage of the info! Kersey has long been popular as a place to stay and we encourage you to investigate the surrounding area as much as possible. Some people ask whether bed linens and towels are provide, and in our experience linen is yes, towels can be no - but you should check with the owner / agency.

Young children and babies can be more easily accommodated for in a holiday cottage where the parents do not feel pressure from other families who may not have young children. When you're travelling as a family with young kids there are several things we recommend you take with you. If your kids ideal break is to be locked in their room with a video games machine, then prepare the outside adventure with bikes, kites and other stuff to get them out having fun. A long car journey can turn the most engaged children into bored zombies, so take some snacks and have a few games ready to play. You'll need to think about a few of their favourite books and games to help them feel at home in the cottage and settle in for a good nights sleep.
