Steyning Cottages
Cottages for families and friends in and around Steyning

Many holiday cottages to discover!

Whatever time you go to Steyning, we'd like to suggest some things to take to improve your stay. Start with something to keep the rain away. You can never really be sure of the weather. An umbrella and a raincoat are a good start!

If you have a DVD player in the West Sussex cottage, definitely take a few great movies. It's so enjoyable to curl up in the evening and watch a classic film. Lastly we think turning up with a few things to eat and drink is a good start to your holiday - there's nothing worse than grumpy kids or friends when its time to unpack, and a little chocolate or a cup of coffee can work wonders. Many people have favourite places they return to again and again, whereas we like to find new places to stay.

Steyning Accomodation

Getting outside is one of the great benefits of staying in the countryside since so many of us live in urban centres where the air is polluted and greenery is a rarity. You can never truly rely on the weather in Steyning West Sussex or frankly anywhere in the UK.

If you find yourself trapped by the rain in Steyning you should pull out a board game, a good book or perhaps a game of charades! Some cottages will provide a few books and magazines but you aren't likely to get the latest blockbuster or this month's Vogue.

Alternatively get back in the car, drive to a local pub, and snuggle up for the day in front of a fire and a couple of pints.

Holiday Cottages

When you choose your Steyning accommodation its worth bearing in mind the group of people staying with you. If you're travelling to Steyning in a group of single people, are there enough beds in the bedrooms?

If you have a dog, you may like to bring him or her to Steyning with you. It's a good idea to ask the owner or agency whether you can take your pet inside the Steyning cottage. And let them know if it's not a dog!

Have a great holiday, wherever you stay. Hopefully it will be in a West Sussex cottage found through us!

Families, Friends and More

There are few better ways to spend a holiday together as a family than in a holiday cottage where everyone truly is in one place, not dotted around a hotel. Young children can make your stay even more fun, and we have a few suggestions of things to bring.

Whether there's a swimming pool attached to the property, or in the nearby leisure centre, swimming trunks and swimming costumes are easy to forget. If the children are really young, don't forget to take nappies and / or a potty as you may find it harder to buy these at your destination.

You'll need to think about a few of their favourite books and games to help them feel at home in the cottage and settle in for a good nights sleep.
