Many holiday cottages to discover!
For a great stay in the UK with family or friends, holiday cottages are the best way to relax and forget about the stresses of normal life. We work with many partners to provide the widest selection of self-catering accommodation we can find, and we hope this makes your search much more easy.
Staying in a Rotherham holiday cottage can be a perfect way to take a break as you can forget about household chores and focus on having fun, or a relaxing break. We know many of our visitors like to take their dogs with them and many cottages now allow this. We can help if you're looking for a holiday cottage or other accommodation in Rotherham to stay in with your family for a week or two or somewhere in Rotherham to stay with friends over a long weekend.
Besides the facilities within the Rotherham cottages, our guests have been known to talk long walks, go horse riding and even more adventurous activities such as climbing. Banking on non-stop sunny South Yorkshire weather, however, can be a little short-sighted.
Although its great to be outside in Rotherham, you can often have just as much fun with your friends or family if you stay in and play some games. Some cottages will provide a few books and magazines but you aren't likely to get the latest blockbuster or this month's Vogue.
Alternatively get back in the car, drive to a local pub, and snuggle up for the day in front of a fire and a couple of pints.
Our site does not make reservations directly and so we ask that any queries you have with the Rotherham cottage are taken up with the owner or agency. Nearly all country cottages have free parking near the property, but you may find the urban cottages to have more parking restrictions.
We've often found the properties have a list of nearby places to grab a bite or a beer - and if the owners are nearby they may filter down the recommendations based on your needs. If you're travelling from a long way, you may not know much about Rotherham so we suggest a little research in advance to find the best attractions.
Some people ask whether bed linens and towels are provide, and in our experience linen is yes, towels can be no - but you should check with the owner / agency.
Families, Friends and More
We think that self-catering is the best way to holiday in Rotherham. No worrying about getting to the dining room in time, either before the hotel declares that breakfast is over, or trying to fit in with other b and b guests.
Eat what you want, whenever you want it. And of course that's particularly good if anyone in your party suffers from food allergies or has other dietary requirements. Waking up without the alarm, cooking a nice hearty breakfast, perhaps sitting by the river for a spot of fishing or just reading a book.
There's also a growing number of holidaymakers who just want to get really energetic and try new things, including abseiling, rafting, climbing and even potholing.
