Combining a change from the norm with classic home comforts is an irresistible offer - and why cottage holidays have become so popular. We are focused on delivering the best possible choice of properties around Failand - please take advantage of all the options and find the cottage that is best for you! Your chosen cottage should be clean and tidy on arrival, and if it is not you should inform the owner or agency immediately so that they can sort it out swiftly. Always check with the Failand cottage owner before you take pets - although many are pet friendly. We often have late availability offers on holiday cottages for family or group bookings but you'll obviously get a restricted choice.

Wherever you stay in Somerset there's usually a good range of fun to be had outdoors - from the most energetic sports to the most relaxing pastimes. Great weather can never be guaranteed for every day, and there's obviously a chance of a downpour. If the rainclouds arrive it may be a good idea to stay inside and get out a pack of cards or an old fashioned board game. Some cottages will provide a few books and magazines but you aren't likely to get the latest blockbuster or this month's Vogue. Or you can just embrace the weather and get out there in a raincoat, splash about, and pretend that you really are still young.
We deal with some of the best cottage agencies in the country so we're confident that they will resolve any small issues you may encounter. Some of the best cottages in Failand are really excellent and so we encourage you to make your reservation as soon as possible to avoid availability disappointment. The owners may leave some hints for good places to visit nearby and on occasion we've even found that they'll suggest a specific pub or restaurant where you can get a discount. If you're travelling from a long way, you may not know much about Failand so we suggest a little research in advance to find the best attractions. If you are travelling from abroad, please make sure that you have the correct visas (if required) and all the passports are up to date.

Young children and babies can be more easily accommodated for in a holiday cottage where the parents do not feel pressure from other families who may not have young children. We've prepared a shortlist of things to remember for your holiday with kids, just to help the whole experience go well. First of all, make sure you remember their shampoo, since not all stores in Failand will carry tear-free shampoo. If the children are really young, don't forget to take nappies and / or a potty as you may find it harder to buy these at your destination. You'll need to think about a few of their favourite books and games to help them feel at home in the cottage and settle in for a good nights sleep.
