If you are looking for a great British break then a cottage holiday could be the perfect answer for you, your friends or your family. Some cottages will provide a few books and magazines but you aren't likely to get the latest blockbuster or this month's Vogue. Alternatively get back in the car, drive to a local pub, and hole up for the day in front of a fire and a couple of pints.

As a reminder, we do not actually take the cottage bookings, we simply connect your with the agencies or owners. Nearly all country cottages have free parking near the property, but you may find the urban cottages to have more parking restrictions. Although you may not be familiar with the local area you'll usually find that the owners have left a welcome manual with details of local places to eat, drink and buy supplies. Somerset and Blagdon are great locations for a cottage holiday due to their proximity to local facilities and amenities. A few properties have access to outdoor swimming pools, but please remember that these are often only accessible during the summer months, and that you are responsible for you own safety!
