Many holiday cottages to discover!

Large or small cottage, holiday makers have the freedom to eat in, eat out, stay in bed all day and generally come and go as they please - unlike a bed and breakfast. Always check with the Sidlesham cottage owner before you take pets - although many are pet friendly. We often have late availability offers on holiday cottages for family or group bookings but you'll obviously get a restricted choice.

Sidlesham Accomodation

In Sidlesham, high season tends to match the summer school holidays, with mid-season a month either side. Mid-July til the end of August are the core weeks for the Sidlesham school summer holidays.

The private and state schools tend to have differing half-term dates, but normally the first half of June is summer half-term. It's becoming less likely to book the best cottages last minute, but by no means impossible. We recommend you give it a try.

In recent years there has been an increase in the size of cottage agencies. Generally speaking that means that someone is always checking the quality of Sidlesham accommodation, either in person, or based on customer feedback.

Holiday Cottages

In the unlikely event that you are not delighted with your holiday cottage in Sidlesham please email or call the agency you made the booking with. It is of course possible that you need to cancel your Sidlesham holiday cottage so ensure you read the cancellation terms on the agency or owners website / contract.

Although you may not be familiar with the Sidlesham area you'll usually find that the owners have left a welcome manual with details of local places to eat, drink and buy supplies. Sidlesham has long been popular as a place to stay and we encourage you to investigate the surrounding area as much as possible.

Some people ask whether bed linens and towels are provide, and in our experience linen is yes, towels can be no - but you should check with the owner / agency.

Families, Friends and More

We think that self-catering is the best way to holiday in Sidlesham. You take away some of the pressure that appears when staying in a hotel or b and b - you must eat your meals at this time, you must order from this menu.

You can decide what food and drink you want to consume, and you can choose when to sit down and eat it... or even stand up and eat it! Waking up without the alarm, cooking a nice hearty breakfast, perhaps sitting by the river for a spot of fishing or just reading a book.

But you may want to get out and burn some energy on bikes, climb a hill or mountain, or even try canoeing. Whatever you choose, please take the right clothing and equipment with you.
