Shop Cottages
Cottages for families and friends in and around Shop

Many holiday cottages to discover!

We love cottage holidays have some really great destinations and properties to rent, for families or groups of friends. The vast majority of our self-catering properties are cottages in rural towns and villages, but we do have some city based properties, many of which are apartments.

Your chosen cottage should be clean and tidy on arrival, and if it is not you should inform the owner or agency immediately so that they can sort it out swiftly. Pet-friendly cottages in Shop are on the rise however we do recommend that you ask in advance - unless it's stated on the booking details. Our great value holiday cottages to rent in Shop are sometimes available for rent for a weekend, week, fortnight, two weeks or even longer.

Shop Accomodation

Besides the facilities within the Shop cottages, our guests have been known to talk long walks, go horse riding and even more adventurous activities such as climbing. Great weather can never be guaranteed for every day, and there's obviously a chance of a downpour.

Although its great to be outside in Shop , you can often have just as much fun with your friends or family if you stay in and play some games. With wi-fi more and more common (but don't expect urban speeds) you could even download a few great tv shows or games.

Alternatively get back in the car, drive to a local pub, and snuggle up for the day in front of a fire and a couple of pints.

Holiday Cottages

When you're searching for the best cottage for your stay, make sure that you've thought through the bedroom needs and allocation. If you have young kids in the party you may want to think twice about open fires, and of course some of the oldest cottages may have lower ceilings than those you are used to.

Dogs need holidays too, so it can be fun to bring your favourite pooch to the Shop cottage. Not all places will welcome pets so please make sure that it's either clearly marked on the booking website, or if not drop a quick line to the owner to make sure.

Don't forget to make the most of your holiday - none of us get enough of them!

Families, Friends and More

The best part of going on holiday with a family is the sense of comfort you all get when walking into a Shop holiday cottage - where everything there is designed to make your stay better! Young children can make your stay even more fun, and we have a few suggestions of things to bring.

Its always a good idea to take swim suits even if you don't expect to be near a beach because you may well find a local swimming pool can be great fun. A lot of the cottages we've researched do have some basic infant facilities such as cots and high chairs, so definitely ask if you need them.

Finally, remember to take your camera - there's nothing better than seeing smiling, happy faces running around and you'll want to capture them.
