SA7 Accomodation

Throughout the area rates will vary quite a bit throughout the year - clearly the winter is the cheapest time. The school summer holidays generally run from the middle of July to late August.

The private and state schools tend to have differing half-term dates, but normally the first half of June is summer half-term. Last minute bookings are alway possible, though clearly your choices will be fewer. It really is worth booking early.

Many cottage owners have signed themselves up with national agencies to help with the marketing and administration, which also helps keep standards to a certain level.

Families, Friends and More

Self-catering holidays can be the most fun in SA7. No worrying about getting to the dining room in time, either before the hotel declares that breakfast is over, or trying to fit in with other b and b guests.

And it also gives the freedom of eating out without needing to reorganise any plans in your accomodation. You don't need to tell anyone, just sit down and order! Relaxing by the river, reading a great novel, perhaps a pint in the pub - these are some of the favourite ways to enjoy some quiet time in SA7.

For others it's an opportunity to get more active, from mountain biking to cross-country running. If you're over 60, we recommend the more relaxed approach!
