Many holiday cottages to discover!

If you want to have the best cottage holiday possible in Rhuddlan, we suggest a few key items to take along. Preparing for a little rain is always a good plan. An umbrella and an anorak or rain coat can get everyone smiling even on the worse days.

If you like watching films and there's a DVD facility in the cottage then it's a good idea to stock up on some good movies so you can spend a couple of nights enjoying the classics. Although you can buy your essential food and drink items locally, it's great to have them with you so you can make a sandwich or a cup of coffee as soon as you arrive. We're often asked which is the best place to stay, and it's so hard to answer, it really depends what you are looking for.

Rhuddlan Accomodation

Rhuddlan holiday accommodation rates increase in peak season, which is generally around the times of the school summer holidays. July and August are usually Denbighshire school summer holidays.

The private and state schools tend to have differing half-term dates, but normally the first half of June is summer half-term. It's recommended to make an early booking to ensure your date, especially during high season, but it's not impossible to find a last minute opportunity.

Cottage agencies are growing in size as a greater number of independents sign up with them. As a consumer this has a positive impact - in theory the facilities and standards are kept to a pre-agreed level.

Holiday Cottages

Before you start to research your holiday accommodation, it's worth asking everyone what they are looking for. If you have young kids in the party you may want to think twice about open fires, and of course some of the oldest cottages may have lower ceilings than those you are used to.

If you have a dog, you may like to bring him or her to Rhuddlan with you. It's a good idea to ask the owner or agency whether you can take your pet inside the Rhuddlan cottage. And let them know if it's not a dog!

Wherever you stay, whether it's in Rhuddlan or elsewhere, we hope you have a fabulous holiday!

Families, Friends and More

There are many benefits to a self-catering holiday in Rhuddlan. You take away some of the pressure that appears when staying in a hotel or b and b - you must eat your meals at this time, you must order from this menu.

And it also gives the freedom of eating out without needing to reorganise any plans in your accomodation. You don't need to tell anyone, just sit down and order! Relaxing by the river, reading a great novel, perhaps a pint in the pub - these are some of the favourite ways to enjoy some quiet time in Rhuddlan.

For many, however, its a chance to really do something active, from running and mountain biking to swimming and climbing.
