If you like watching films and there's a DVD facility in the cottage then it's a good idea to stock up on some good movies so you can spend a couple of nights enjoying the classics. Finally you should take a few initial supplies, such as tea, coffee, milk, bread and some cheese. Of course you can usually buy them locally but it's easy to forget and there's nothing better than a cup of tea before you start unpacking. We have stayed in many types of cottage, and we've decided we like both traditional and modern - it just depends on where we're going.

Pitsford Accomodation

Benefits of staying in a county cottage include being able to jump out of the front door and take part in outdoor pursuits from walking to horse riding, and from fishing to paddling. Great weather can never be guaranteed for every day, and there's obviously a chance of a downpour.

If the rainclouds arrive it may be a good idea to stay inside and get out a pack of cards or an old fashioned board game. Cottage owners sometimes leave a few distractions around the property, such as local magazines or guidebooks.

Wer're sure you'll come up with a great plan, but it might help to have one in advance. Just in case!

Holiday Cottages

Before you book that 16th Century thatched roof cottage with low ceilings, you may want to ask the tallest people in your group/family whether the olde worlds charm outweighs the pain of bumping heads on beams. Are you looking for a quaint old stone cottage in Pitsford with an open fire - or something a little more child friendly with nice warm carpets and central heating?

Most dog owners like to take their four legged friends away with them on trips to Pitsford. Not all places will welcome pets so please make sure that it's either clearly marked on the booking website, or if not drop a quick line to the owner to make sure.

Enjoy your holiday, we're syure you deserve it. The world moves so very fast and it's great to take a break.

Families, Friends and More

Self-catering holidays can be the most fun in Pitsford. You take away some of the pressure that appears when staying in a hotel or b and b - you must eat your meals at this time, you must order from this menu.

Eat what you want, whenever you want it. And of course that's particularly good if anyone in your party suffers from food allergies or has other dietary requirements. A large number of our visitors like to use their stay as an opportunity to just put their feet up, gaze at the scenery, take an afternoon nap, and enjoy a nice home cooked meal. Just taking it easy in Pitsford.

But you may want to get out and burn some energy on bikes, climb a hill or mountain, or even try canoeing. Whatever you choose, please take the right clothing and equipment with you.
