Many holiday cottages to discover!

Whatever time you go to Otterham, we'd like to suggest some things to take to improve your stay. Preparing for a little rain is always a good plan. An umbrella and an anorak or rain coat can get everyone smiling even on the worse days.

If you like watching films and there's a DVD facility in the cottage then it's a good idea to stock up on some good movies so you can spend a couple of nights enjoying the classics. There are obviously local stores that can supply you with all the food you need, but we always like to arrive with coffee, tea bags, a pint of milk, a bar of chocolate and some bread and butter for the toaster - it's good to get the energy up after a long journey. Many people have favourite places they return to again and again, whereas we like to find new places to stay.

Otterham Accomodation

In Otterham, high season tends to match the summer school holidays, with mid-season a month either side. July and August are usually Cornwall school summer holidays.

Half term in the summer extends across the first half of June, as different schools break up at different times. Last minute bookings are alway possible, though clearly your choices will be fewer. It really is worth booking early.

In recent years there has been an increase in the size of cottage agencies. Generally speaking that means that someone is always checking the quality of Otterham accommodation, either in person, or based on customer feedback.

Holiday Cottages

We deal with some of the best cottage agencies in the country so we're confident that they will resolve any small issues you may encounter. Everyone owner or lettings agency can have a slightly different cancellation policy so please be sure to check before you make your reservation.

Many owners, if they are local, will be pleased to give you tips on the best pubs and restaurants around, so make sure you ask and take advantage of the info! If you're travelling from a long way, you may not know much about Otterham so we suggest a little research in advance to find the best attractions.

We hope you have a really enjoyable holiday in Otterham and remember us next year when it comes to finding the next great Cornwall cottage.

Families, Friends and More

We think that self-catering is the best way to holiday in Otterham. It's so much more relaxing when you can eat when it suits you - cooking exactly when you want (and whatever you want).

Eat what you want, whenever you want it. And of course that's particularly good if anyone in your party suffers from food allergies or has other dietary requirements. Relaxing by the river, reading a great novel, perhaps a pint in the pub - these are some of the favourite ways to enjoy some quiet time in Otterham.

There's also a growing number of holidaymakers who just want to get really energetic and try new things, including abseiling, rafting, climbing and even potholing.
