Many holiday cottages to discover!

If you want to have the best cottage holiday possible in Ossett, we suggest a few key items to take along. Rainproof clothing and a light umbrella should be the first things to pack. The rain only comes when you are not prepared.

If you have a DVD player in the West Yorkshire cottage, definitely take a few great movies. It's so enjoyable to curl up in the evening and watch a classic film. Although you can buy your essential food and drink items locally, it's great to have them with you so you can make a sandwich or a cup of coffee as soon as you arrive. Many people have favourite places they return to again and again, whereas we like to find new places to stay.

Ossett Accomodation

In Ossett, high season tends to match the summer school holidays, with mid-season a month either side. School holidays tend to be mid-July to the end of August.

If you want to avoid half-term in the summer, draw a line through the first two weeks of June. Booking early is always a good idea. You have a much better chance of getting your preferred date and accommodation. But, that doesn't mean its impossible to get a late booking.

In recent years there has been an increase in the size of cottage agencies. Generally speaking that means that someone is always checking the quality of Ossett accommodation, either in person, or based on customer feedback.

Holiday Cottages

Before you start to research your holiday accommodation, it's worth asking everyone what they are looking for. Are you looking for a quaint old stone cottage in Ossett with an open fire - or something a little more child friendly with nice warm carpets and central heating?

Dogs need holidays too, so it can be fun to bring your favourite pooch to the Ossett cottage. It's a good idea to ask the owner or agency whether you can take your pet inside the Ossett cottage. And let them know if it's not a dog!

Don't forget to make the most of your West Yorkshire holiday - none of us get enough of them!

Families, Friends and More

We think that self-catering is the best way to holiday in Ossett. No worrying about getting to the dining room in time, either before the hotel declares that breakfast is over, or trying to fit in with other b and b guests.

Eat what you want, whenever you want it. And of course that's particularly good if anyone in your party suffers from food allergies or has other dietary requirements. A large number of our visitors like to use their stay as an opportunity to just put their feet up, gaze at the scenery, take an afternoon nap, and enjoy a nice home cooked meal. Just taking it easy in Ossett.

But you may want to get out and burn some energy on bikes, climb a hill or mountain, or even try canoeing. Whatever you choose, please take the right clothing and equipment with you.
