Many holiday cottages to discover!
If you want to have the best cottage holiday possible in Newton Toney, we suggest a few key items to take along. Start with something to keep the rain away. You can never really be sure of the weather. An umbrella and a raincoat are a good start!
We always make sure we take a good book. There's always plenty of downtime on a cottage holiday, and so it's a great time to catch up on a read. There are obviously local stores that can supply you with all the food you need, but we always like to arrive with coffee, tea bags, a pint of milk, a bar of chocolate and some bread and butter for the toaster - it's good to get the energy up after a long journey. Many people have favourite places they return to again and again, whereas we like to find new places to stay.
Newton Toney Accomodation
Throughout the area rates will vary quite a bit throughout the year - clearly the winter is the cheapest time. The school summer holidays generally run from the middle of July to late August.
Summer half-term usually appears in the first couple of weeks in June, although different types of schools have different dates. Although we really encourage you too book your cottage early, there are opportunities for last minute bookings, so it can be worth checking.
More and more cottages seem to be signing up with agencies to help with their bookings.
When you're searching for the best cottage for your stay, make sure that you've thought through the bedroom needs and allocation. If you have young kids in the party you may want to think twice about open fires, and of course some of the oldest cottages may have lower ceilings than those you are used to.
Dog owners often like to spend their holidays in the UK so that they can take their four legged friends with them. Not all places will welcome pets so please make sure that it's either clearly marked on the booking website, or if not drop a quick line to the owner to make sure.
Have a great holiday, wherever you stay. Hopefully it will be in a cottage found through us!
Families, Friends and More
Self-catering always makes your holiday more relaxing in Newton Toney. No pressure from the owner to eat meals at specific times, when you are self-catering the food is ready when you want it to be ready.
And if you have specific dietary needs, whether that's something relatively common like vegetarianism or a more unusual food allergy, cooking your own food allows you peace of mind. Relaxing by the river, reading a great novel, perhaps a pint in the pub - these are some of the favourite ways to enjoy some quiet time in Newton Toney.
For many, however, its a chance to really do something active, from running and mountain biking to swimming and climbing.
