If you like watching films and there's a DVD facility in the cottage then it's a good idea to stock up on some good movies so you can spend a couple of nights enjoying the classics. Lastly we think turning up with a few things to eat and drink is a good start to your holiday - there's nothing worse than grumpy kids or friends when its time to unpack, and a little chocolate or a cup of coffee can work wonders. We find it really hard to decide which type of cottage we like best. Generally we just enjoy going away!

Middlezoy Accomodation

In Middlezoy, high season tends to match the summer school holidays, with mid-season a month either side. The school summer holidays generally run from the middle of July to late August.

Summer half-term usually appears in the first couple of weeks in June, although different types of schools have different dates. Booking early is always a good idea. You have a much better chance of getting your preferred date and accommodation. But, that doesn't mean its impossible to get a late booking.

Some of the best cottages in the UK are fiercely independent and have incredibly high standards, and more recently the rise of agencies has helped increase standards right across the board.

Holiday Cottages

We deal with some of the best cottage agencies in the country so we're confident that they will resolve any small issues you may encounter. It is of course possible that you need to cancel your Middlezoy holiday cottage so ensure you read the cancellation terms on the agency or owners website / contract.

Although you may not be familiar with the Middlezoy area you'll usually find that the owners have left a welcome manual with details of local places to eat, drink and buy supplies. Middlezoy has long been popular as a place to stay and we encourage you to investigate the surrounding area as much as possible.

Some people ask whether bed linens and towels are provide, and in our experience linen is yes, towels can be no - but you should check with the owner / agency.

Families, Friends and More

Self-catering always makes your holiday more relaxing in Middlezoy. You take away some of the pressure that appears when staying in a hotel or b and b - you must eat your meals at this time, you must order from this menu.

And it also gives the freedom of eating out without needing to reorganise any plans in your accomodation. You don't need to tell anyone, just sit down and order! For many people the idea of a Middlezoy cottage holiday allows them to relax, take long rambling walks and stop off at a country pub for a pint and a ploughman's lunch.

There's also a growing number of holidaymakers who just want to get really energetic and try new things, including abseiling, rafting, climbing and even potholing.
