Marley Hill Cottages
Cottages for families and friends in and around Marley Hill

Many holiday cottages to discover!

Whatever time you go to Marley Hill, we'd like to suggest some things to take to improve your stay. Start with something to keep the rain away. You can never really be sure of the weather. An umbrella and a raincoat are a good start!

If you like watching films and there's a DVD facility in the cottage then it's a good idea to stock up on some good movies so you can spend a couple of nights enjoying the classics. Although you can buy your essential food and drink items locally, it's great to have them with you so you can make a sandwich or a cup of coffee as soon as you arrive. We're often asked which is the best place to stay, and it's so hard to answer, it really depends what you are looking for.

Marley Hill Accomodation

Children love to get out of the cottage (not because the cottages aren't great, but because its fun to play outside!) and this is a great benefit of staying in a country cottage. As we all know, the weather isn't always idyllic - in fact it can be largely unpredictable.

We live in a country where we're no stranger to rain and preparing for the inevitable downpour is always a good idea. Some cottages will provide a few books and magazines but you aren't likely to get the latest blockbuster or this month's Vogue.

Or you can just embrace the weather and get out there in a raincoat, splash about, and pretend that you really are still young.

Holiday Cottages

When you're searching for the best cottage for your stay, make sure that you've thought through the bedroom needs and allocation. If you're travelling to Marley Hill in a group of single people, are there enough beds in the bedrooms?

Many Marley Hill visitors like to bring their pets (normally dogs) when they go on holiday. If the description of the Marley Hill cottage does not indicate that its pet friendly, please contact the owner before confirming the booking.

We want you to have a great Tyne and Wear holiday so we wish you the best of luck finding your perfect accomodation.

Families, Friends and More

The best part of going on holiday with a family is the sense of comfort you all get when walking into a Marley Hill holiday cottage - where everything there is designed to make your stay better! Youngsters are always excited about self-catering breaks, but we've collated a short list of things to help it go smoothly!

Although its not to all parents' tastes, you can buy very cheap in-car DVD players to amuse the kids, and they can often be plugged into the standard power sockets when you arrive. Snacks for the car can make the trip to Marley Hill much more pleasant - bored kids with low blood sugar are not the perfect companions.

Sometimes just taking a few soft toys from home can make bedtime feel more comfortable in a strange house, and they don't need to take much space in the boot.
