We always make sure we take a good book. There's always plenty of downtime on a cottage holiday, and so it's a great time to catch up on a read. There are obviously local stores that can supply you with all the food you need, but we always like to arrive with coffee, tea bags, a pint of milk, a bar of chocolate and some bread and butter for the toaster - it's good to get the energy up after a long journey. We have stayed in many types of cottage, and we've decided we like both traditional and modern - it just depends on where we're going.

Low Lorton Accomodation

Wherever you stay in Low Lorton there's usually a good range of fun to be had outdoors - from the most energetic sports to the most relaxing pastimes. As we all know, the weather isn't always idyllic - in fact it can be largely unpredictable.

If the rainclouds arrive it may be a good idea to stay inside and get out a pack of cards or an old fashioned board game. If there's a TV in the property then you can sit around a watch re-runs of quiz shows, comedies and whatever else is on.

Alternatively get back in the car, drive to a local pub, and snuggle up for the day in front of a fire and a couple of pints.

Most dog owners like to take their four legged friends away with them on trips to Low Lorton. It's a good idea to ask the owner or agency whether you can take your pet inside the Low Lorton cottage. And let them know if it's not a dog!

We want you to have a great Cumbria holiday so we wish you the best of luck finding your perfect accomodation.

Families, Friends and More

Young children and babies can be more easily accommodated for in a holiday cottage where the parents do not feel pressure from other families who may not have young children. We've prepared a handy shortlist of things to remember for your holiday with kids, just to help the whole experience go well.

Whether there's a swimming pool attached to the property, or in the nearby leisure centre, swimming trunks and swimming costumes are easy to forget. Check whether the cottage can supply cots or high chairs if you need them - you may be surprised how common this is in Low Lorton.

Clothes for the full range of weather; just because you don't think that it looks good outside in the rain it doesn't mean that the little ones will agree.
