Many holiday cottages to discover!

To make the best of your trip in Llandudno, we recommend you bring some essential items. Preparing for a little rain is always a good plan. An umbrella and an anorak or rain coat can get everyone smiling even on the worse days.

If you have a DVD player in the Conwy cottage, definitely take a few great movies. It's so enjoyable to curl up in the evening and watch a classic film. There are obviously local stores that can supply you with all the food you need, but we always like to arrive with coffee, tea bags, a pint of milk, a bar of chocolate and some bread and butter for the toaster - it's good to get the energy up after a long journey. We have stayed in many types of cottage, and we've decided we like both traditional and modern - it just depends on where we're going.

Llandudno Accomodation

Llandudno holiday accommodation rates increase in peak season, which is generally around the times of the school summer holidays. July and August are usually Conwy school summer holidays.

If you want to avoid half-term in the summer, draw a line through the first two weeks of June. It's becoming less likely to book the best cottages last minute, but by no means impossible. We recommend you give it a try.

In recent years there has been an increase in the size of cottage agencies. Generally speaking that means that someone is always checking the quality of Llandudno accommodation, either in person, or based on customer feedback.

Holiday Cottages

When you're searching for the best cottage for your stay, make sure that you've thought through the bedroom needs and allocation. Is there agreement on an old fashioned cottage, or should you be looking for something contemporary with all the modern appliances?

Dogs need holidays too, so it can be fun to bring your favourite pooch to the Llandudno cottage. Many places will accept dogs, but it's always a good idea to double check in advance if it's not mentioned on the booking website.

Don't forget to make the most of your Conwy holiday - none of us get enough of them!

Families, Friends and More

Families love cottage holidays because they can run to their own schedule, managing everyone's unique needs in the privacy of a comfortable home. When you're so focused on the final destination, its easy to forget to pack some of the basics, so here are a few tips.

Although its not to all parents' tastes, you can buy very cheap in-car DVD players to amuse the kids, and they can often be plugged into the standard power sockets when you arrive. If the children are really young, don't forget to take nappies and / or a potty as you may find it harder to buy these at your destination.

And last, but not least, make sure you take your camera to capture the magic of a great fun family holiday before the kids grow up and start their own families!
