Many holiday cottages to discover!

To make the best of your trip in Leyton, we recommend you bring some essential items. Definitely pack some waterproof clothing. There's no such thing as a guarantee against the rain and there's nothing worse than being stuck inside.

If your family and friends are anything like ours, you should have a good book ready to fill those times when everyone's getting ready, or waiting for them to come back from a long walk. There are obviously local stores that can supply you with all the food you need, but we always like to arrive with coffee, tea bags, a pint of milk, a bar of chocolate and some bread and butter for the toaster - it's good to get the energy up after a long journey. We find it really hard to decide which type of cottage we like best. Generally we just enjoy going away!

Leyton Accomodation

In Leyton, high season tends to match the summer school holidays, with mid-season a month either side. The summer holiday period (for schools) runs from mid-July through the whole of August.

The private and state schools tend to have differing half-term dates, but normally the first half of June is summer half-term. It's becoming less likely to book the best cottages last minute, but by no means impossible. We recommend you give it a try.

More and more cottages seem to be signing up with agencies to help with their bookings.

Holiday Cottages

Whether you're going away with friends or family to Leyton, you'll want to consider the type of accommodation you book. If you're travelling to Leyton in a group of single people, are there enough beds in the bedrooms?

Most dog owners like to take their four legged friends away with them on trips to Leyton. Not all places will welcome pets so please make sure that it's either clearly marked on the booking website, or if not drop a quick line to the owner to make sure.

Wherever you stay, whether it's in Leyton or elsewhere, we hope you have a fabulous holiday!

Families, Friends and More

There are many benefits to a self-catering holiday in Leyton. You take away some of the pressure that appears when staying in a hotel or b and b - you must eat your meals at this time, you must order from this menu.

Eat what you want, whenever you want it. And of course that's particularly good if anyone in your party suffers from food allergies or has other dietary requirements. We know many people who consider a holiday cottage as the perfect way to wind down after a busy urban lifestyle - sleep in, take lazy walks through the countryside and take more time over meals.

But you may want to get out and burn some energy on bikes, climb a hill or mountain, or even try canoeing. Whatever you choose, please take the right clothing and equipment with you.
