Large or small cottage, holiday makers have the freedom to eat in, eat out, stay in bed all day and generally come and go as they please - unlike a bed and breakfast. We know many of our visitors like to take their dogs with them and many cottages now allow this. We often have late availability offers on holiday cottages for family or group bookings but you'll obviously get a restricted choice.

Kirkoswald Accomodation

Kirkoswald holiday accommodation rates increase in peak season, which is generally around the times of the school summer holidays. Mid-July til the end of August are the core weeks for the Kirkoswald school summer holidays.

Half term in the summer extends across the first half of June, as different schools break up at different times. Booking early is always a good idea. You have a much better chance of getting your preferred date and accommodation. But, that doesn't mean its impossible to get a late booking.

Some of the best cottages in the UK are fiercely independent and have incredibly high standards, and more recently the rise of agencies has helped increase standards right across the board.

Holiday Cottages

Before you start to research your holiday accommodation, it's worth asking everyone what they are looking for. Are you looking for a quaint old stone cottage in Kirkoswald with an open fire - or something a little more child friendly with nice warm carpets and central heating?

Dogs need holidays too, so it can be fun to bring your favourite pooch to the Kirkoswald cottage. It's a good idea to ask the owner or agency whether you can take your pet inside the Kirkoswald cottage. And let them know if it's not a dog!

Enjoy your holiday, we're syure you deserve it. The world moves so very fast and it's great to take a break.

Families, Friends and More

There are few better ways to spend a holiday together as a family than in a holiday cottage where everyone truly is in one place, not dotted around a hotel. When you're travelling as a family with young kids there are several things we recommend you take with you.

Although its not to all parents' tastes, you can buy very cheap in-car DVD players to amuse the kids, and they can often be plugged into the standard power sockets when you arrive. Check whether the cottage can supply cots or high chairs if you need them - you may be surprised how common this is in Kirkoswald.

Finally, remember to take your camera - there's nothing better than seeing smiling, happy faces running around and you'll want to capture them.
