Kingspark Cottages
Cottages for families and friends in and around Kingspark

Many holiday cottages to discover!

Whenever you're travelling to Kingspark, there are a few things you should always take with you. Rainproof clothing and a light umbrella should be the first things to pack. The rain only comes when you are not prepared.

If your family and friends are anything like ours, you should have a good book ready to fill those times when everyone's getting ready, or waiting for them to come back from a long walk. Finally you should take a few initial supplies, such as tea, coffee, milk, bread and some cheese. Of course you can usually buy them locally but it's easy to forget and there's nothing better than a cup of tea before you start unpacking. We're often asked which is the best place to stay, and it's so hard to answer, it really depends what you are looking for.

Kingspark Accomodation

In Kingspark, high season tends to match the summer school holidays, with mid-season a month either side. Mid-July til the end of August are the core weeks for the Kingspark school summer holidays.

If you want to avoid half-term in the summer, draw a line through the first two weeks of June. It's becoming less likely to book the best cottages last minute, but by no means impossible. We recommend you give it a try.

Cottage agencies are growing in size as a greater number of independents sign up with them. As a consumer this has a positive impact - in theory the facilities and standards are kept to a pre-agreed level.

Holiday Cottages

Our site does not make reservations directly and so we ask that any queries you have with the Kingspark cottage are taken up with the owner or agency. Nearly all country cottages have free parking near the property, but you may find the urban cottages to have more parking restrictions.

Many owners, if they are local, will be pleased to give you tips on the best pubs and restaurants around, so make sure you ask and take advantage of the info! If you're travelling from a long way, you may not know much about Kingspark so we suggest a little research in advance to find the best attractions.

Some people ask whether bed linens and towels are provide, and in our experience linen is yes, towels can be no - but you should check with the owner / agency.

Families, Friends and More

The fact that guests are on holiday in Kingspark in a rental home together, sometimes with three generations in larger rental holiday homes, brings a much different atmosphere to the cottage break or holiday. When you're so focused on the final destination, its easy to forget to pack some of the basics, so here are a few tips.

If your kids ideal break is to be locked in their room with a video games machine, then prepare the outside adventure with bikes, kites and other stuff to get them out having fun. Snacks for the car can make the trip to Kingspark much more pleasant - bored kids with low blood sugar are not the perfect companions.

You'll need to think about a few of their favourite books and games to help them feel at home in the cottage and settle in for a good nights sleep.
