If you like watching films and there's a DVD facility in the cottage then it's a good idea to stock up on some good movies so you can spend a couple of nights enjoying the classics. And then we always make sure we have good supplies with us when we arrive so that we can sit down and have a cup of coffee and perhaps a piece of cake before we start that boring unpacking! We love finding great new cottages, part of the fun of a holiday is not quite knowing where you're going!

Kettlebrook Accomodation

The rates for Kettlebrook cottages are highest in the warmer months, generally aligning with the school holidays. July and August are usually Staffordshire school summer holidays.

If you want to avoid half-term in the summer, draw a line through the first two weeks of June. Booking early is always a good idea. You have a much better chance of getting your preferred date and accommodation. But, that doesn't mean its impossible to get a late booking.

In recent years there has been an increase in the size of cottage agencies. Generally speaking that means that someone is always checking the quality of Kettlebrook accommodation, either in person, or based on customer feedback.

Holiday Cottages

When you're searching for the best cottage for your stay, make sure that you've thought through the bedroom needs and allocation. Do you need twin beds or double beds, can the kids share a room, will your friends all want separate bedrooms?

Most dog owners like to take their four legged friends away with them on trips to Kettlebrook. It's a good idea to ask the owner or agency whether you can take your pet inside the Kettlebrook cottage. And let them know if it's not a dog!

Don't forget to make the most of your Staffordshire holiday - none of us get enough of them!

Families, Friends and More

Self-catering holidays can be the most fun in Kettlebrook. No pressure from the owner to eat meals at specific times, when you are self-catering the food is ready when you want it to be ready.

Eat what you want, whenever you want it. And of course that's particularly good if anyone in your party suffers from food allergies or has other dietary requirements. Relaxing by the river, reading a great novel, perhaps a pint in the pub - these are some of the favourite ways to enjoy some quiet time in Kettlebrook.

On the other hand, there's a growing proportion of visitors who use their time away from home to get fitter and try new things - such as mountain biking, horse riding or canoeing.
