To make the best of your trip in KY4, we recommend you bring some essential items. You can never be sure of the weather, so take something to protect you from the rain - ideally something that can be packed in a rucksack just in case.

If you have a DVD player in the cottage, definitely take a few great movies. It's so enjoyable to curl up in the evening and watch a classic film. Lastly we think turning up with a few things to eat and drink is a good start to your holiday - there's nothing worse than grumpy kids or friends when its time to unpack, and a little chocolate or a cup of coffee can work wonders. We find it really hard to decide which type of cottage we like best. Generally we just enjoy going away!

KY4 Accomodation

Wherever you stay in KY4 there's usually a good range of fun to be had outdoors - from the most energetic sports to the most relaxing pastimes. Trusting the sun to shine every day is rather optimistic in KY4 regardless of the time of year.

Although its great to be outside in KY4, you can often have just as much fun with your friends or family if you stay in and play some games. Many cottages now have DVD players so maybe its worth taking a few a classic movies with you.

Alternatively get back in the car, drive to a local pub, and snuggle up for the day in front of a fire and a couple of pints.

Holiday Cottages

When you're searching for the best cottage for your stay, make sure that you've thought through the bedroom needs and allocation. Are you looking for a quaint old stone cottage in KY4 with an open fire - or something a little more child friendly with nice warm carpets and central heating?

Dogs need holidays too, so it can be fun to bring your favourite pooch to the KY4 cottage. It's a good idea to ask the owner or agency whether you can take your pet inside the KY4 cottage. And let them know if it's not a dog!

Don't forget to make the most of your holiday - none of us get enough of them!

Families, Friends and More

Families love cottage holidays because they can run to their own schedule, managing everyone's unique needs in the privacy of a comfortable home. Young children can make your stay even more fun, and we have a few suggestions of things to bring.

Although its not to all parents' tastes, you can buy very cheap in-car DVD players to amuse the kids, and they can often be plugged into the standard power sockets when you arrive. If the children are really young, don't forget to take nappies and / or a potty as you may find it harder to buy these at your destination.

You'll need to think about a few of their favourite books and games to help them feel at home in the cottage and settle in for a good nights sleep.
