KA21 Cottages
Cottages for families and friends in and around KA21

Many holiday cottages to discover!

In KA21, whatever time of year, and whoever you are with, we have a few suggestions for essentials to take along. Rainproof clothing and a light umbrella should be the first things to pack. The rain only comes when you are not prepared.

We always make sure we take a good book. There's always plenty of downtime on a cottage holiday, and so it's a great time to catch up on a read. And then we always make sure we have good supplies with us when we arrive so that we can sit down and have a cup of coffee and perhaps a piece of cake before we start that boring unpacking! Many people have favourite places they return to again and again, whereas we like to find new places to stay.

KA21 Accomodation

In KA21, high season tends to match the summer school holidays, with mid-season a month either side. School holidays tend to be mid-July to the end of August.

The private and state schools tend to have differing half-term dates, but normally the first half of June is summer half-term. Last minute bookings are alway possible, though clearly your choices will be fewer. It really is worth booking early.

More and more cottages seem to be signing up with agencies to help with their bookings.

Holiday Cottages

Before you book that 16th Century thatched roof cottage with low ceilings, you may want to ask the tallest people in your group/family whether the olde worlds charm outweighs the pain of bumping heads on beams. If you're travelling to KA21 in a group of single people, are there enough beds in the bedrooms?

Most dog owners like to take their four legged friends away with them on trips to KA21. It's a good idea to ask the owner or agency whether you can take your pet inside the KA21 cottage. And let them know if it's not a dog!

We want you to have a great holiday so we wish you the best of luck finding your perfect accomodation.

Families, Friends and More

Self-catering holidays can be the most fun in KA21. You take away some of the pressure that appears when staying in a hotel or b and b - you must eat your meals at this time, you must order from this menu.

Of course it also means that you can skip a meal in the accommodation and just eat out - perhaps grab some fish and chips, or maybe a pizza or burger. We know many people who consider a holiday cottage as the perfect way to wind down after a busy urban lifestyle - sleep in, take lazy walks through the countryside and take more time over meals.

On the other hand, there's a growing proportion of visitors who use their time away from home to get fitter and try new things - such as mountain biking, horse riding or canoeing.
