Cottages for families and friends in and around KA15

Many holiday cottages to discover!

Whenever you're travelling to KA15, there are a few things you should always take with you. You can never be sure of the weather, so take something to protect you from the rain - ideally something that can be packed in a rucksack just in case.

If you have a DVD player in the cottage, definitely take a few great movies. It's so enjoyable to curl up in the evening and watch a classic film. Although you can buy your essential food and drink items locally, it's great to have them with you so you can make a sandwich or a cup of coffee as soon as you arrive. We love finding great new cottages, part of the fun of a holiday is not quite knowing where you're going!

KA15 Accomodation

Children love to get out of the cottage (not because the cottages aren't great, but because its fun to play outside!) and this is a great benefit of staying in a country cottage. As we all know, the weather isn't always idyllic - in fact it can be largely unpredictable.

If the rainclouds arrive it may be a good idea to stay inside and get out a pack of cards or an old fashioned board game. Some cottages will provide a few books and magazines but you aren't likely to get the latest blockbuster or this month's Vogue.

Or just ignore the rain and get on with whatever you had initially planned and be determined that a little water will not spoil the day.

Holiday Cottages

Whether you're going away with friends or family to KA15, you'll want to consider the type of accommodation you book. Do you need twin beds or double beds, can the kids share a room, will your friends all want separate bedrooms?

Dog owners often like to spend their holidays in the UK so that they can take their four legged friends with them. It's a good idea to ask the owner or agency whether you can take your pet inside the KA15 cottage. And let them know if it's not a dog!

Have a great holiday, wherever you stay. Hopefully it will be in a cottage found through us!

Families, Friends and More

There are few better ways to spend a holiday together as a family than in a holiday cottage where everyone truly is in one place, not dotted around a hotel. When you're so focused on the final destination, its easy to forget to pack some of the basics, so here are a few tips.

Its always a good idea to take swim suits even if you don't expect to be near a beach because you may well find a local swimming pool can be great fun. If the children are really young, don't forget to take nappies and / or a potty as you may find it harder to buy these at your destination.

Sometimes just taking a few soft toys from home can make bedtime feel more comfortable in a strange house, and they don't need to take much space in the boot.
