Large or small cottage, holiday makers have the freedom to eat in, eat out, stay in bed all day and generally come and go as they please - unlike a bed and breakfast. Pet-friendly cottages in Hirwaun are on the rise however we do recommend that you ask in advance - unless it's stated on the booking details. We often have late availability offers on holiday cottages for family or group bookings but you'll obviously get a restricted choice.

Hirwaun Accomodation

Getting outside is one of the great benefits of staying in the countryside since so many of us live in urban centres where the air is polluted and greenery is a rarity. Great weather can never be guaranteed for every day, and there's obviously a chance of a downpour.

Although its great to be outside in Hirwaun, you can often have just as much fun with your friends or family if you stay in and play some games. Some cottages will provide a few books and magazines but you aren't likely to get the latest blockbuster or this month's Vogue.

Wer're sure you'll come up with a great plan, but it might help to have one in advance. Just in case!

Holiday Cottages

When you're searching for the best cottage for your stay, make sure that you've thought through the bedroom needs and allocation. If you have young kids in the party you may want to think twice about open fires, and of course some of the oldest cottages may have lower ceilings than those you are used to.

Most dog owners like to take their four legged friends away with them on trips to Hirwaun. If the description of the Hirwaun cottage does not indicate that its pet friendly, please contact the owner before confirming the booking.

Don't forget to make the most of your Rhondda Cynon Taf holiday - none of us get enough of them!

Families, Friends and More

Young children and babies can be more easily accommodated for in a holiday cottage where the parents do not feel pressure from other families who may not have young children. When you're so focused on the final destination, its easy to forget to pack some of the basics, so here are a few tips.

Its always a good idea to take swim suits even if you don't expect to be near a beach because you may well find a local swimming pool can be great fun. If the children are really young, don't forget to take nappies and / or a potty as you may find it harder to buy these at your destination.

And last, but not least, make sure you take your camera to capture the magic of a great fun family holiday before the kids grow up and start their own families!
