Cottages for families and friends in and around Hintlesham

Many holiday cottages to discover!

Whenever you're travelling to Hintlesham, there are a few things you should always take with you. Start with something to keep the rain away. You can never really be sure of the weather. An umbrella and a raincoat are a good start!

We think a good book is another essential. Not just an opportunity to catch up on your reading, but also to pass the time waiting for everyone else to get themselves ready, or wait out the rain! Lastly we think turning up with a few things to eat and drink is a good start to your holiday - there's nothing worse than grumpy kids or friends when its time to unpack, and a little chocolate or a cup of coffee can work wonders. We're often asked which is the best place to stay, and it's so hard to answer, it really depends what you are looking for.

Hintlesham Accomodation

Besides the facilities within the Hintlesham cottages, our guests have been known to talk long walks, go horse riding and even more adventurous activities such as climbing. You can never truly rely on the weather in Hintlesham Suffolk or frankly anywhere in the UK.

Although its great to be outside in Hintlesham, you can often have just as much fun with your friends or family if you stay in and play some games. Cottage owners sometimes leave a few distractions around the property, such as local magazines or guidebooks.

Whatever you decide, we're sure it will be a memorable part of your cottage holiday in Hintlesham.

Holiday Cottages

As a reminder, we do not actually take the cottage bookings, we simply connect your with the agencies or owners. It is of course possible that you need to cancel your Hintlesham holiday cottage so ensure you read the cancellation terms on the agency or owners website / contract.

Many owners, if they are local, will be pleased to give you tips on the best pubs and restaurants around, so make sure you ask and take advantage of the info! If you're travelling from a long way, you may not know much about Hintlesham so we suggest a little research in advance to find the best attractions.

Some properties will ask for a security deposit before your arrival date - although this is required in a minority of accommodation and you will be advised at time of booking.

Families, Friends and More

The fact that guests are on holiday in Hintlesham in a rental home together, sometimes with three generations in larger rental holiday homes, brings a much different atmosphere to the cottage break or holiday. When you're travelling as a family with young kids there are several things we recommend you take with you.

If your kids ideal break is to be locked in their room with a video games machine, then prepare the outside adventure with bikes, kites and other stuff to get them out having fun. A lot of the cottages we've researched do have some basic infant facilities such as cots and high chairs, so definitely ask if you need them.

Sometimes just taking a few soft toys from home can make bedtime feel more comfortable in a strange house, and they don't need to take much space in the boot.
