There's a good reason that cottage holidays are on the rise - they're simply the most fun and best value holidays in the UK. And booking your Marden cottage couldn't be simpler, just narrow down the accommodation you're looking for and click on the one you like the most! Cottage owners expect you to leave the property in the same condition as you found it - clean and tidy - and will almost always provide cleaning materials for you. A larger number of cottages will accept pets (and for pets, read 'dogs') but you must check first. Our great value holiday cottages to rent in Marden are sometimes available for rent for a weekend, week, fortnight, two weeks or even longer.

Besides the facilities within the Marden cottages, our guests have been known to talk long walks, go horse riding and even more adventurous activities such as climbing. As we all know, the weather isn't always idyllic - in fact it can be largely unpredictable. When the weather takes a turn for the worse its a great time to stay indoors and play some classic family games. If there's a TV in the property then you can sit around a watch re-runs of quiz shows, comedies and whatever else is on. Alternatively get back in the car, drive to a local pub, and hole up for the day in front of a fire and a couple of pints.
Our site does not make reservations directly and so we ask that any queries you have with the Marden cottage are taken up with the owner or agency. Nearly all country cottages have free parking near the property, but you may find the urban cottages to have more parking restrictions. Although you may not be familiar with the local area you'll usually find that the owners have left a welcome manual with details of local places to eat, drink and buy supplies. If you're travelling from a long way, you may not know much about Marden so we suggest a little research in advance to find the best attractions. Some properties will ask for a security deposit before your arrival date - although this is required in a minority of accommodation and you will be advised at time of booking.

Families love cottage holidays because they can run to their own schedule, managing everyone's unique needs in the privacy of a comfortable home. When you're so focused on the final destination, its easy to forget to pack some of the basics, so here are a few tips. Although its not to all parents' tastes, you can buy very cheap in-car DVD players to amuse the kids, and they can often be plugged into the standard power sockets when you arrive. If the children are really young, don't forget to take nappies and / or a potty as you may find it harder to buy these at your destination. Clothes for the full range of weather; just because you don't think that it looks good outside in the rain it doesn't mean that the little ones will agree.
