Heighington Cottages
Cottages for families and friends in and around Heighington

Many holiday cottages to discover!

In Heighington , whatever time of year, and whoever you are with, we have a few suggestions for essentials to take along. Definitely pack some waterproof clothing. There's no such thing as a guarantee against the rain and there's nothing worse than being stuck inside.

If your family and friends are anything like ours, you should have a good book ready to fill those times when everyone's getting ready, or waiting for them to come back from a long walk. Lastly we think turning up with a few things to eat and drink is a good start to your holiday - there's nothing worse than grumpy kids or friends when its time to unpack, and a little chocolate or a cup of coffee can work wonders. We have stayed in many types of cottage, and we've decided we like both traditional and modern - it just depends on where we're going.

Heighington Accomodation

Besides the facilities within the Heighington cottages, our guests have been known to talk long walks, go horse riding and even more adventurous activities such as climbing. You can never truly rely on the weather in Heighington or frankly anywhere in the UK.

If you find yourself trapped by the rain in Heighington you should pull out a board game, a good book or perhaps a game of charades! Some cottages will provide a few books and magazines but you aren't likely to get the latest blockbuster or this month's Vogue.

Alternatively get back in the car, drive to a local pub, and snuggle up for the day in front of a fire and a couple of pints.

Holiday Cottages

Whether you're going away with friends or family to Heighington , you'll want to consider the type of accommodation you book. Do you need twin beds or double beds, can the kids share a room, will your friends all want separate bedrooms?

Most dog owners like to take their four legged friends away with them on trips to Heighington . It's a good idea to ask the owner or agency whether you can take your pet inside the Heighington cottage. And let them know if it's not a dog!

Have a great holiday, wherever you stay. Hopefully it will be in a cottage found through us!

Families, Friends and More

We think that self-catering is the best way to holiday in Heighington . No pressure from the owner to eat meals at specific times, when you are self-catering the food is ready when you want it to be ready.

Eat what you want, whenever you want it. And of course that's particularly good if anyone in your party suffers from food allergies or has other dietary requirements. Waking up without the alarm, cooking a nice hearty breakfast, perhaps sitting by the river for a spot of fishing or just reading a book.

There's also a growing number of holidaymakers who just want to get really energetic and try new things, including abseiling, rafting, climbing and even potholing.
