Many holiday cottages to discover!

If you want to have the best cottage holiday possible in Grafton Regis, we suggest a few key items to take along. Rainproof clothing and a light umbrella should be the first things to pack. The rain only comes when you are not prepared.

If you have a DVD player in the Northamptonshire cottage, definitely take a few great movies. It's so enjoyable to curl up in the evening and watch a classic film. There are obviously local stores that can supply you with all the food you need, but we always like to arrive with coffee, tea bags, a pint of milk, a bar of chocolate and some bread and butter for the toaster - it's good to get the energy up after a long journey. Many people have favourite places they return to again and again, whereas we like to find new places to stay.

Grafton Regis Accomodation

Throughout the Northamptonshire area rates will vary quite a bit throughout the year - clearly the winter is the cheapest time. The summer holiday period (for schools) runs from mid-July through the whole of August.

The private and state schools tend to have differing half-term dates, but normally the first half of June is summer half-term. It's recommended to make an early booking to ensure your date, especially during high season, but it's not impossible to find a last minute opportunity.

Cottage agencies are growing in size as a greater number of independents sign up with them. As a consumer this has a positive impact - in theory the facilities and standards are kept to a pre-agreed level.

Holiday Cottages

Whether you're going away with friends or family to Grafton Regis, you'll want to consider the type of accommodation you book. Are you looking for a quaint old stone cottage in Grafton Regis with an open fire - or something a little more child friendly with nice warm carpets and central heating?

If you have a dog, you may like to bring him or her to Grafton Regis with you. It's a good idea to ask the owner or agency whether you can take your pet inside the Grafton Regis cottage. And let them know if it's not a dog!

Have a great holiday, wherever you stay. Hopefully it will be in a Northamptonshire cottage found through us!

Families, Friends and More

Self-catering is an ideal way to holiday in Grafton Regis. No worrying about getting to the dining room in time, either before the hotel declares that breakfast is over, or trying to fit in with other b and b guests.

And it also gives the freedom of eating out without needing to reorganise any plans in your accomodation. You don't need to tell anyone, just sit down and order! Relaxing by the river, reading a great novel, perhaps a pint in the pub - these are some of the favourite ways to enjoy some quiet time in Grafton Regis.

For many, however, its a chance to really do something active, from running and mountain biking to swimming and climbing.
