Many holiday cottages to discover!

Your chosen cottage should be clean and tidy on arrival, and if it is not you should inform the owner or agency immediately so that they can sort it out swiftly. Always check with the GL42 cottage owner before you take pets - although many are pet friendly. We often have late availability offers on holiday cottages for family or group bookings but you'll obviously get a restricted choice.

GL42 Accomodation

In GL42, high season tends to match the summer school holidays, with mid-season a month either side. School holidays tend to be mid-July to the end of August.

Half term in the summer extends across the first half of June, as different schools break up at different times. It's recommended to make an early booking to ensure your date, especially during high season, but it's not impossible to find a last minute opportunity.

Some of the best cottages in the UK are fiercely independent and have incredibly high standards, and more recently the rise of agencies has helped increase standards right across the board.

Holiday Cottages

When you're searching for the best cottage for your stay, make sure that you've thought through the bedroom needs and allocation. Are you looking for a quaint old stone cottage in GL42 with an open fire - or something a little more child friendly with nice warm carpets and central heating?

Most dog owners like to take their four legged friends away with them on trips to GL42. Many places will accept dogs, but it's always a good idea to double check in advance if it's not mentioned on the booking website.

Don't forget to make the most of your holiday - none of us get enough of them!

Families, Friends and More

Young children and babies can be more easily accommodated for in a holiday cottage where the parents do not feel pressure from other families who may not have young children. When you're so focused on the final destination, its easy to forget to pack some of the basics, so here are a few tips.

Its always a good idea to take swim suits even if you don't expect to be near a beach because you may well find a local swimming pool can be great fun. A long car journey can turn the most engaged children into bored zombies, so take some snacks and have a few games ready to play.

Finally, remember to take your camera - there's nothing better than seeing smiling, happy faces running around and you'll want to capture them.
