Large or small cottage, holiday makers have the freedom to eat in, eat out, stay in bed all day and generally come and go as they please - unlike a bed and breakfast. Always check with the Firemore cottage owner before you take pets - although many are pet friendly. We can help if you're looking for a holiday cottage or other accommodation in Firemore to stay in with your family for a week or two or somewhere in Firemore to stay with friends over a long weekend.

Firemore Accomodation

In Firemore, high season tends to match the summer school holidays, with mid-season a month either side. The school summer holidays generally run from the middle of July to late August.

Summer half-term usually appears in the first couple of weeks in June, although different types of schools have different dates. Booking early is always a good idea. You have a much better chance of getting your preferred date and accommodation. But, that doesn't mean its impossible to get a late booking.

Some of the best cottages in the UK are fiercely independent and have incredibly high standards, and more recently the rise of agencies has helped increase standards right across the board.

Holiday Cottages

Before you start to research your holiday accommodation, it's worth asking everyone what they are looking for. If you have young kids in the party you may want to think twice about open fires, and of course some of the oldest cottages may have lower ceilings than those you are used to.

Many Firemore visitors like to bring their pets (normally dogs) when they go on holiday. If the description of the Firemore cottage does not indicate that its pet friendly, please contact the owner before confirming the booking.

We want you to have a great holiday so we wish you the best of luck finding your perfect accomodation.

Families, Friends and More

Self-catering is an ideal way to holiday in Firemore. It's so much more relaxing when you can eat when it suits you - cooking exactly when you want (and whatever you want).

Of course it also means that you can skip a meal in the accommodation and just eat out - perhaps grab some fish and chips, or maybe a pizza or burger. Relaxing by the river, reading a great novel, perhaps a pint in the pub - these are some of the favourite ways to enjoy some quiet time in Firemore.

On the other hand, there's a growing proportion of visitors who use their time away from home to get fitter and try new things - such as mountain biking, horse riding or canoeing.
