Your chosen cottage should be clean and tidy on arrival, and if it is not you should inform the owner or agency immediately so that they can sort it out swiftly. A larger number of cottages will accept pets (and for pets, read 'dogs') but you must check first. We can help if you're looking for a holiday cottage or other accommodation in Finwood to stay in with your family for a week or two or somewhere in Finwood to stay with friends over a long weekend.

Finwood Accomodation

The rates for Finwood cottages are highest in the warmer months, generally aligning with the school holidays. Mid-July til the end of August are the core weeks for the Finwood school summer holidays.

Half term in the summer extends across the first half of June, as different schools break up at different times. Although we really encourage you too book your cottage early, there are opportunities for last minute bookings, so it can be worth checking.

More and more cottages seem to be signing up with agencies to help with their bookings.

Holiday Cottages

When you choose your Finwood accommodation its worth bearing in mind the group of people staying with you. Do you need twin beds or double beds, can the kids share a room, will your friends all want separate bedrooms?

Many Finwood visitors like to bring their pets (normally dogs) when they go on holiday. Many places will accept dogs, but it's always a good idea to double check in advance if it's not mentioned on the booking website.

We want you to have a great holiday so we wish you the best of luck finding your perfect accomodation.

Families, Friends and More

Young children and babies can be more easily accommodated for in a holiday cottage where the parents do not feel pressure from other families who may not have young children. Young children can make your stay even more fun, and we have a few suggestions of things to bring.

If your kids ideal break is to be locked in their room with a video games machine, then prepare the outside adventure with bikes, kites and other stuff to get them out having fun. A long car journey can turn the most engaged children into bored zombies, so take some snacks and have a few games ready to play.

Finally, remember to take your camera - there's nothing better than seeing smiling, happy faces running around and you'll want to capture them.
