The best family rental holiday cottages in Failand are typically small homes for rent that can be treated like your own home for the duration of your cottage holiday. Always check with the Failand cottage owner before you take pets - although many are pet friendly. We can help if you're looking for a holiday cottage or other accommodation in Failand to stay in with your family for a week or two or somewhere in Failand to stay with friends over a long weekend.

Failand Accomodation

Failand holiday accommodation rates increase in peak season, which is generally around the times of the school summer holidays. The summer holiday period (for schools) runs from mid-July through the whole of August.

If you want to avoid half-term in the summer, draw a line through the first two weeks of June. Although we really encourage you too book your cottage early, there are opportunities for last minute bookings, so it can be worth checking.

Some of the best cottages in the UK are fiercely independent and have incredibly high standards, and more recently the rise of agencies has helped increase standards right across the board.

Holiday Cottages

When you choose your Failand accommodation its worth bearing in mind the group of people staying with you. Are you looking for a quaint old stone cottage in Failand with an open fire - or something a little more child friendly with nice warm carpets and central heating?

Dog owners often like to spend their holidays in the UK so that they can take their four legged friends with them. Not all places will welcome pets so please make sure that it's either clearly marked on the booking website, or if not drop a quick line to the owner to make sure.

Don't forget to make the most of your Somerset holiday - none of us get enough of them!

Families, Friends and More

There are many benefits to a self-catering holiday in Failand. You take away some of the pressure that appears when staying in a hotel or b and b - you must eat your meals at this time, you must order from this menu.

And if you have specific dietary needs, whether that's something relatively common like vegetarianism or a more unusual food allergy, cooking your own food allows you peace of mind. We know many people who consider a holiday cottage as the perfect way to wind down after a busy urban lifestyle - sleep in, take lazy walks through the countryside and take more time over meals.

But you may want to get out and burn some energy on bikes, climb a hill or mountain, or even try canoeing. Whatever you choose, please take the right clothing and equipment with you.
