East End Cottages
Cottages for families and friends in and around East End

Many holiday cottages to discover!

In East End, whatever time of year, and whoever you are with, we have a few suggestions for essentials to take along. Preparing for a little rain is always a good plan. An umbrella and an anorak or rain coat can get everyone smiling even on the worse days.

If you have a DVD player in the Dorset cottage, definitely take a few great movies. It's so enjoyable to curl up in the evening and watch a classic film. Finally you should take a few initial supplies, such as tea, coffee, milk, bread and some cheese. Of course you can usually buy them locally but it's easy to forget and there's nothing better than a cup of tea before you start unpacking. We love finding great new cottages, part of the fun of a holiday is not quite knowing where you're going!

East End Accomodation

Wherever you stay in East End there's usually a good range of fun to be had outdoors - from the most energetic sports to the most relaxing pastimes. Trusting the sun to shine every day is rather optimistic in East End regardless of the time of year.

We live in a country where we're no stranger to rain and preparing for the inevitable downpour is always a good idea. Some cottages will provide a few books and magazines but you aren't likely to get the latest blockbuster or this month's Vogue.

Or you can just embrace the weather and get out there in a raincoat, splash about, and pretend that you really are still young.

Holiday Cottages

In the unlikely event that you are not delighted with your holiday cottage in East End please email or call the agency you made the booking with. It is of course possible that you need to cancel your East End holiday cottage so ensure you read the cancellation terms on the agency or owners website / contract.

Many owners, if they are local, will be pleased to give you tips on the best pubs and restaurants around, so make sure you ask and take advantage of the info! East End has long been popular as a place to stay and we encourage you to investigate the surrounding area as much as possible.

Some properties will ask for a security deposit before your arrival date - although this is required in a minority of accommodation and you will be advised at time of booking.

Families, Friends and More

Families love cottage holidays because they can run to their own schedule, managing everyone's unique needs in the privacy of a comfortable home. We've prepared a handy shortlist of things to remember for your holiday with kids, just to help the whole experience go well.

First of all, make sure you remember their shampoo, since not all stores in East End will carry tear-free shampoo. Snacks for the car can make the trip to East End much more pleasant - bored kids with low blood sugar are not the perfect companions.

And last, but not least, make sure you take your camera to capture the magic of a great fun family holiday before the kids grow up and start their own families!
