Dover Cottages
Cottages for families and friends in and around Dover

Many holiday cottages to discover!

There's a good reason that cottage holidays are on the rise - they're simply the most fun and best value holidays in the UK. We work with many partners to provide the widest selection of self-catering accommodation we can find, and we hope this makes your search much more easy.

The best family rental holiday cottages in Dover are typically small homes for rent that can be treated like your own home for the duration of your cottage holiday. We know many of our visitors like to take their dogs with them and many cottages now allow this. We often have late availability offers on holiday cottages for family or group bookings but you'll obviously get a restricted choice.

Dover Accomodation

Throughout the Greater Manchester area rates will vary quite a bit throughout the year - clearly the winter is the cheapest time. July and August are usually Greater Manchester school summer holidays.

Summer half-term usually appears in the first couple of weeks in June, although different types of schools have different dates. It's recommended to make an early booking to ensure your date, especially during high season, but it's not impossible to find a last minute opportunity.

Many cottage owners have signed themselves up with national agencies to help with the marketing and administration, which also helps keep standards to a certain level.

Holiday Cottages

We deal with some of the best cottage agencies in the country so we're confident that they will resolve any small issues you may encounter. It is of course possible that you need to cancel your Dover holiday cottage so ensure you read the cancellation terms on the agency or owners website / contract.

We've often found the properties have a list of nearby places to grab a bite or a beer - and if the owners are nearby they may filter down the recommendations based on your needs. If you're travelling from a long way, you may not know much about Dover so we suggest a little research in advance to find the best attractions.

Some people ask whether bed linens and towels are provide, and in our experience linen is yes, towels can be no - but you should check with the owner / agency.

Families, Friends and More

Self-catering is an ideal way to holiday in Dover. We like the freedom of eating meals when we want. There's something wrong with taking a holiday and then finding out that you have to get up early or you miss the breakfast you've paid for.

Of course it also means that you can skip a meal in the accommodation and just eat out - perhaps grab some fish and chips, or maybe a pizza or burger. A large number of our visitors like to use their stay as an opportunity to just put their feet up, gaze at the scenery, take an afternoon nap, and enjoy a nice home cooked meal. Just taking it easy in Dover.

On the other hand, there's a growing proportion of visitors who use their time away from home to get fitter and try new things - such as mountain biking, horse riding or canoeing.
