Cottage owners expect you to leave the property in the same condition as you found it - clean and tidy - and will almost always provide cleaning materials for you. We know many of our visitors like to take their dogs with them and many cottages now allow this. We often have late availability offers on holiday cottages for family or group bookings but you'll obviously get a restricted choice.

Dalry Accomodation

Cottage prices in Dalry will range from high to low throughout the year, but clearly the summer months will be the most expensive as remand increases. School holidays tend to be mid-July to the end of August.

Summer half-term usually appears in the first couple of weeks in June, although different types of schools have different dates. Booking early is always a good idea. You have a much better chance of getting your preferred date and accommodation. But, that doesn't mean its impossible to get a late booking.

More and more cottages seem to be signing up with agencies to help with their bookings.

Holiday Cottages

Before you start to research your holiday accommodation, it's worth asking everyone what they are looking for. Are you looking for a quaint old stone cottage in Dalry with an open fire - or something a little more child friendly with nice warm carpets and central heating?

If you have a dog, you may like to bring him or her to Dalry with you. It's a good idea to ask the owner or agency whether you can take your pet inside the Dalry cottage. And let them know if it's not a dog!

Wherever you stay, whether it's in Dalry or elsewhere, we hope you have a fabulous holiday!

Families, Friends and More

Self-catering always makes your holiday more relaxing in Dalry. No worrying about getting to the dining room in time, either before the hotel declares that breakfast is over, or trying to fit in with other b and b guests.

Eat what you want, whenever you want it. And of course that's particularly good if anyone in your party suffers from food allergies or has other dietary requirements. We know many people who consider a holiday cottage as the perfect way to wind down after a busy urban lifestyle - sleep in, take lazy walks through the countryside and take more time over meals.

For others it's an opportunity to get more active, from mountain biking to cross-country running. If you're over 60, we recommend the more relaxed approach!
