DN15 Cottages
Cottages for families and friends in and around DN15

Many holiday cottages to discover!

In DN15, whatever time of year, and whoever you are with, we have a few suggestions for essentials to take along. Rainproof clothing and a light umbrella should be the first things to pack. The rain only comes when you are not prepared.

If you have a DVD player in the cottage, definitely take a few great movies. It's so enjoyable to curl up in the evening and watch a classic film. Lastly we think turning up with a few things to eat and drink is a good start to your holiday - there's nothing worse than grumpy kids or friends when its time to unpack, and a little chocolate or a cup of coffee can work wonders. We're often asked which is the best place to stay, and it's so hard to answer, it really depends what you are looking for.

DN15 Accomodation

DN15 holiday accommodation rates increase in peak season, which is generally around the times of the school summer holidays. July and August are usually school summer holidays.

Half term in the summer extends across the first half of June, as different schools break up at different times. Last minute bookings are alway possible, though clearly your choices will be fewer. It really is worth booking early.

More and more cottages seem to be signing up with agencies to help with their bookings.

Holiday Cottages

Before you start to research your holiday accommodation, it's worth asking everyone what they are looking for. If you're travelling to DN15 in a group of single people, are there enough beds in the bedrooms?

Dogs need holidays too, so it can be fun to bring your favourite pooch to the DN15 cottage. Many places will accept dogs, but it's always a good idea to double check in advance if it's not mentioned on the booking website.

Enjoy your holiday, we're syure you deserve it. The world moves so very fast and it's great to take a break.

Families, Friends and More

We think that self-catering is the best way to holiday in DN15. No worrying about getting to the dining room in time, either before the hotel declares that breakfast is over, or trying to fit in with other b and b guests.

You can decide what food and drink you want to consume, and you can choose when to sit down and eat it... or even stand up and eat it! Relaxing by the river, reading a great novel, perhaps a pint in the pub - these are some of the favourite ways to enjoy some quiet time in DN15.

On the other hand, there's a growing proportion of visitors who use their time away from home to get fitter and try new things - such as mountain biking, horse riding or canoeing.
