Crundale Cottages
Cottages for families and friends in and around Crundale

Many holiday cottages to discover!

In Crundale, whatever time of year, and whoever you are with, we have a few suggestions for essentials to take along. Start with something to keep the rain away. You can never really be sure of the weather. An umbrella and a raincoat are a good start!

If your family and friends are anything like ours, you should have a good book ready to fill those times when everyone's getting ready, or waiting for them to come back from a long walk. There are obviously local stores that can supply you with all the food you need, but we always like to arrive with coffee, tea bags, a pint of milk, a bar of chocolate and some bread and butter for the toaster - it's good to get the energy up after a long journey. Many people have favourite places they return to again and again, whereas we like to find new places to stay.

Crundale Accomodation

Getting outside is one of the great benefits of staying in the countryside since so many of us live in urban centres where the air is polluted and greenery is a rarity. Banking on non-stop sunny Pembrokeshire weather, however, can be a little short-sighted.

We live in a country where we're no stranger to rain and preparing for the inevitable downpour is always a good idea. Some cottages will provide a few books and magazines but you aren't likely to get the latest blockbuster or this month's Vogue.

Or you can just embrace the weather and get out there in a raincoat, splash about, and pretend that you really are still young.

Holiday Cottages

Our site does not make reservations directly and so we ask that any queries you have with the Crundale cottage are taken up with the owner or agency. It is of course possible that you need to cancel your Crundale holiday cottage so ensure you read the cancellation terms on the agency or owners website / contract.

Although you may not be familiar with the Crundale area you'll usually find that the owners have left a welcome manual with details of local places to eat, drink and buy supplies. If you're travelling from a long way, you may not know much about Crundale so we suggest a little research in advance to find the best attractions.

Some people ask whether bed linens and towels are provide, and in our experience linen is yes, towels can be no - but you should check with the owner / agency.

Families, Friends and More

There are few better ways to spend a holiday together as a family than in a holiday cottage where everyone truly is in one place, not dotted around a hotel. When you're travelling as a family with young kids there are several things we recommend you take with you.

Its always a good idea to take swim suits even if you don't expect to be near a beach because you may well find a local swimming pool can be great fun. Check whether the cottage can supply cots or high chairs if you need them - you may be surprised how common this is in Crundale.

Finally, remember to take your camera - there's nothing better than seeing smiling, happy faces running around and you'll want to capture them.
