Many holiday cottages to discover!
Whenever you're travelling to Lelant, there are a few things you should always take with you. Rainproof clothing and a light umbrella should be the first things to pack. The rain only comes when you are not prepared.
If you like watching films and there's a DVD facility in the cottage then it's a good idea to stock up on some good movies so you can spend a couple of nights enjoying the classics. And then we always make sure we have good supplies with us when we arrive so that we can sit down and have a cup of coffee and perhaps a piece of cake before we start that boring unpacking! We love finding great new cottages, part of the fun of a holiday is not quite knowing where you're going!
Wherever you stay in Lelant there's usually a good range of fun to be had outdoors - from the most energetic sports to the most relaxing pastimes. Banking on non-stop sunny Cornwall weather, however, can be a little short-sighted.
We live in a country where we're no stranger to rain and preparing for the inevitable downpour is always a good idea. With wi-fi more and more common (but don't expect urban speeds) you could even download a few great tv shows or games.
Or you can just embrace the weather and get out there in a raincoat, splash about, and pretend that you really are still young.
All the booking agents we work with have good customer service teams, so please contact them if you have additional questions or encounter any problems. It is of course possible that you need to cancel your Lelant holiday cottage so ensure you read the cancellation terms on the agency or owners website / contract.
Although you may not be familiar with the Lelant area you'll usually find that the owners have left a welcome manual with details of local places to eat, drink and buy supplies. If you're travelling from a long way, you may not know much about Lelant so we suggest a little research in advance to find the best attractions.
Some properties will ask for a security deposit before your arrival date - although this is required in a minority of accommodation and you will be advised at time of booking.
Families, Friends and More
The best part of going on holiday with a family is the sense of comfort you all get when walking into a Lelant holiday cottage - where everything there is designed to make your stay better! Youngsters are always excited about self-catering breaks, but we've collated a short list of things to help it go smoothly!
Whether there's a swimming pool attached to the property, or in the nearby leisure centre, swimming trunks and swimming costumes are easy to forget. A long car journey can turn the most engaged children into bored zombies, so take some snacks and have a few games ready to play.
Clothes for the full range of weather; just because you don't think that it looks good outside in the rain it doesn't mean that the little ones will agree.
