There's a good reason that cottage holidays are on the rise - they're simply the most fun and best value holidays in the UK. The vast majority of our self-catering properties are cottages in rural towns and villages, but we do have some city based properties, many of which are apartments. Large or small cottage, holiday makers have the freedom to eat in, eat out, stay in bed all day and generally come and go as they please - unlike a bed and breakfast. A larger number of cottages will accept pets (and for pets, read 'dogs') but you must check first. We often have late availability cottages to rent in Ennis for all seasons - spring, summer, autumn and winter.
Children love to get out of the cottage (not because the cottages aren't great, but because its fun to play outside!) and this is a great benefit of staying in a country cottage. As we all know, the weather isn't always idyllic - in fact it can be largely unpredictable. When the weather takes a turn for the worse its a great time to stay indoors and play some classic family games. With wi-fi more and more common (but don't expect urban speeds) you could even download a few great tv shows or games. Or just ignore the rain and get on with whatever you had initially planned and be determined that a little water will not spoil the day.

It is of course possible that you need to cancel your Ennis holiday cottage so ensure you read the cancellation terms on the agency or owners website / contract. We've often found the properties have a list of nearby places to grab a bite or a beer - and if the owners are nearby they may filter down the recommendations based on your needs. Ennis cottages range in size and price, but based on our knowledge of the cottage agencies and owners, all should be good quality. A few properties have access to outdoor swimming pools, but please remember that these are often only accessible during the summer months, and that you are responsible for you own safety!
