Cottages for families and friends in and around Cloghran

Many holiday cottages to discover!

Whenever you're travelling to Cloghran, there are a few things you should always take with you. Start with something to keep the rain away. You can never really be sure of the weather. An umbrella and a raincoat are a good start!

If your family and friends are anything like ours, you should have a good book ready to fill those times when everyone's getting ready, or waiting for them to come back from a long walk. Finally you should take a few initial supplies, such as tea, coffee, milk, bread and some cheese. Of course you can usually buy them locally but it's easy to forget and there's nothing better than a cup of tea before you start unpacking. Many people have favourite places they return to again and again, whereas we like to find new places to stay.

Cloghran Accomodation

Wherever you stay in Cloghran there's usually a good range of fun to be had outdoors - from the most energetic sports to the most relaxing pastimes. Banking on non-stop sunny weather, however, can be a little short-sighted.

We live in a country where we're no stranger to rain and preparing for the inevitable downpour is always a good idea. With wi-fi more and more common (but don't expect urban speeds) you could even download a few great tv shows or games.

Or just ignore the rain and get on with whatever you had initially planned and be determined that a little water will not spoil the day.

Holiday Cottages

Before you book that 16th Century thatched roof cottage with low ceilings, you may want to ask the tallest people in your group/family whether the olde worlds charm outweighs the pain of bumping heads on beams. Are you looking for a quaint old stone cottage in Cloghran with an open fire - or something a little more child friendly with nice warm carpets and central heating?

Dogs need holidays too, so it can be fun to bring your favourite pooch to the Cloghran cottage. We always suggest that you check with the owner if there are no pet details listed. And even if there are, it can be a good idea to let them know so they can put out a bowl of water for your dog's arrival.

Wherever you stay, whether it's in Cloghran or elsewhere, we hope you have a fabulous holiday!

Families, Friends and More

The best part of going on holiday with a family is the sense of comfort you all get when walking into a Cloghran holiday cottage - where everything there is designed to make your stay better! Youngsters are always excited about self-catering breaks, but we've collated a short list of things to help it go smoothly!

If your kids ideal break is to be locked in their room with a video games machine, then prepare the outside adventure with bikes, kites and other stuff to get them out having fun. If the children are really young, don't forget to take nappies and / or a potty as you may find it harder to buy these at your destination.

Clothes for the full range of weather; just because you don't think that it looks good outside in the rain it doesn't mean that the little ones will agree.
